I took one off a mate because he was moving far away. silly me ...I thought it would pair up with a stripped goby.....did it bollox!! the blinking thing diggs soooooo much that it has buried some of my frags and other corals how do I get it out. ....I never seen it since I put it in .......and it's about 2.5" ....I need it gone HELP!!!!!

Or you could try a baited bottle trap.
But that wouldn't give you the opportunity to re-scape the tank and get your misses interested.

Nothing would get my misses interested......she likes the 10 second glance ...but that's it!!
A bottle trap won't work ....as pistols are super clever ,and can swim... ....something where a lid closes after the bait has been taken.........maybe I should watch SAW movies

I was thinking you would have to site the trap at the front of the tank and wait for it to enter.
If you are handy I am sure you could make a little swinging trap door to trap it.

Yup. And a nice little red torch so you can see without disturbing the little critter. Or if you make a trap with a trap door you can find the little bugger at a more civilized hour (if it works).

Why o why did I put a pistol shrimp in my tank......after I had 4 months off .......!!! I ain't got time to sit around ....I got 4 blinking months work to catch up on ....and this week I'm doing evenings too.....
Mark fancy a pistol shrimp trapping holiday in London .....my shed is quite cosy this time of year....lol It's got mod cons..........well it's got a light and electric...ha ha!!

It don't smell of creosote.......more a nitromethane smell ...cause I keep my rc car and truck there......yes I am a BIG kid...I love toys......so you get a bit of entertainment as well ...ha ha
